What next

After you have sent us the registration documents and we have met with you, we will immediately check your references and start matching your profile with potential families.

If you are a mothers’ help or nanny from abroad the procedure is the same as for au-pairs. However we may only be able to place you as an au-pair at a lower salary. The highest paid jobs goes to the girls with UK experience that are able to attend interviews in person.

Interviews with families
First and foremost think of your own safety and always let someone other than your agency know exactly where you are going and when to expect you back. At Peek-a-boo Childcare we do ask for references from former employees of the families, if applicable, but still this offers little protection. Please keep us updated on how you are getting on with our families. Also, let us know if you find a family yourself.

Take with you on your interview: Be as open as you can and remember to ask questions to make sure you like the children and can get on with the parents. If for some reason you cannot make the interview please let us know as well as the employer.
Contact us after the interview is over to let us know how it went.

Once you start the position, remember:
Good communication is the key to a happy relationship.

Peek-a-boo welcomes you!
Peek-a-boo invites all carers to meetings in London on a regular basis. Here you can meet other nannies and mothers’ helps and ask questions related to your position but mainly just have a relaxing and good time.
We also have an extensive list of other nannies in your area if you wish to make new friends.
