Procedure
Once we have received your aupair application we will immediately start looking for a good aupair host family and send suitable families your application. You will get job suggestions from us or apply to jobs that we advertise on our site. Once a family is interested, you will hear from us with some details about the family. Sometimes the families will e-mail or call you directly. If you like the sound of each other you will receive a letter of invitation/email that should include information about your duties, salary and a brief description of the family (number and age of children etc.). Be ready for a phone call from an English speaking family at any time! Once you accept an invitation you need to contact us so we can inform them about the good news as soon as possible and go ahead with the travel arrangements. Au-pairs normally pay their own fare to the family. You have to inform us and the family of your arrival details, so that they can meet you at the airport or station.
Requirements
For you to be able to apply as aupair via Peek-a-boo you must:
• be 18 years of age or older
• be eligible to work in the UK (EU member)
• have some childcare experience and references
• be physically and mentally fit (we will ask you to provide a medical cert)
• not have any convictions (we will ask you to provide a police report)
• speak a minimum of basic English
• be prepared to be away from your home and friends
• be flexible, willing and helpful
• have a complete and good application
