Au pair Accredited Courses
We offer our aupairs a few wonderful new online aupair courses developed specifically to benefit UK aupairs and host families.
The Au Pair and British Culture courses are OCN Level One accredited qualifications; they are delivered completely online with tutor support and can be done in the au pair’s own time. The course has useful information, tasks and activities to help make the au pair’s stay an enjoyable experience.
Course content: getting to know the host family (daily routine, activities, au pair contract, discipline, holidays etc), health, safety and first aid (health and safety at home, childhood illnesses, first aid, etc), healthy eating (balanced diet, making eating fun, recipes, etc) and out and about (children safety outside the house, activities for the children, local attractions and attractions in London, etc)
We also offer 4 different British culture courses, which are: British Heritage (a look at important periods of British history through historic buildings and monuments); British Business Etiquette (Understanding the cultural differences within the business world, focusing on the UK); Famous Britons (a look at popular culture by focusing on famous names currently in the media) and People in History (Focuses on main Royals who have shaped British history and culture)
The costs are endorsed by Peek-a-boo and heavily discounted for all our aupairs. The cost covers the tutor support, registration fee and certificate.
Here at Peekaboo Au pairs, we feel that these courses are a great benefit for all the au pairs keen to embrace the cultural exchange program. They have the opportunity to study from the comfort of their host families’ homes and at the end of it, they will get an accredited au pair qualification. Not only they will find out more about the British life, but they will also deepen their childcare knowledge. The au pairs can also make friends and discuss things related to the course etc by using the online forum and of course improve their English.
