Baby-sitters

Peek-a-boo offers an exclusive baby sitting service for the London and surrounding area.

All the baby-sitters available are registered nannies with the agency. We will endeavour to find you a suitable baby sitter who lives within easy access to your area.

Peek-a-boo baby-sitting agency charge is made up of a registration fee of £50 (excludes exciting clients) and a choice of 3 different memberships. Your family can have access to an experienced and/or qualified baby-sitter for £100 for 3 months, £150 for 6 months and £200 for 12 months.

You will then have up to 2 nights cover per week.

Once you are registered with us, we will need at least 24 hour notice to book a baby sitter for you.

Professional babysitters' hourly rates of pay

At the end of the evening your babysitter will reasonably expect you to pay them for the hours they have worked, rounded up to the next quarter of an hour.

The government has currently set the National Minimum Wage at £5.35 per hour, however most our sitters expect £7-10 per hour.
As guidance for parents we advises the recommended rate of pay for a professional babysitter each time a booking is make.

To ensure it is worth your babysitters' time and so that they are willing to return to your family we also recommend that babysitters are paid for a minimum of 4 hours on each booking.

You are also responsible to pay for the travel cost (taxi) back if the sitter is unable to get home with the local travel network.

Special rates for special circumstances

At the time of booking you will always be advised of any recommended babysitter pay rate or booking fee which varies from the standard evening babysitting rates above.
For instance there are slightly higher rates of pay for:

• Special dates such as New Year's Eve or Valentines Day.
• Bookings at hotels or other temporary addresses.
• Bookings that start before 6pm and include an element of day-care
